Inspired by preservation, exploration, and education, the Edelman Fossil Park and Museum is located on an active dig site that offers visitors a unique experience for fossil discovery. The museum gives patrons the opportunity to dig for fossils alongside paleontologists. The design, inspired by a camera obscura, is built around a set of lenses and uses the concept of apertures to reveal past, present, and future views of  the natural landscape.
